Sales
training for B2B teams in the Mittelstand

Your team trains on its own offers, its own clients and its own price negotiations. What sticks in training is applied in the next client meeting.

Close

A close happens where strategy, selling skills, mindset and personality come together. This is exactly where my training starts.

Training
that works in the client meeting

Most sales teams know what they should do. In client conversations they still fall back into old habits: they give way on price too early, do not follow up offers, or talk about the product instead of the client's needs.

This is where I start. Before the training I speak with the management and the head of sales, review your offers, conversation situations and KPIs, and base the training on them. Your salespeople practise on cases they know from their own week.

I have led sales organisations myself for many years, both as head of sales and at managing director level. That is why I train what a salesperson needs on Monday with the client.

How I work

From the first conversation to the next client meeting.

  1. Clarify

Initial conversation with management and the head of sales. We set the goal and the metrics.

  2. Tailor

I review offers, conversation situations and KPIs and build the training around your cases.

  3. Train

Your team practises on its own cases and takes away tasks for the next client meetings.

  4. Embed

Your managers pick up the content. At the follow-up session we evaluate the KPIs.

Your business is the practice material.

We work with your offers, your typical objections and your difficult clients. There are no generic role plays.

Managers are involved.

Heads of sales and team leaders know what was trained and follow it up in sales meetings. This decides whether training has an impact.

We agree beforehand how we measure the impact.

For example the close rate on offers, price discounts or the number of first meetings. After a few weeks we review them together.

When training is not enough

Sometimes the cause does not lie with the salesperson. If targets are unclear, offers sit too long or sales steering is missing, even the best training helps little. In that case I will tell you so and first recommend the Sales Check.

The
right people in the right place

To select new salespeople and develop your team, I use scientifically based methods: INSIGHTS MDI®, persolog and DNLA (sales competence and the success factor of social competence). They show where a person's strengths lie and where training should start. I am certified or accredited for all three methods.

What
the topic areas cover

Winning new clients. Your team learns to approach companies with whom it has no existing contact: in cold calling and telephone prospecting, at trade fairs, via LinkedIn and through referrals from satisfied clients. The aim is the first meeting with the right contact.

Conversation and close. This is about the sales conversation itself. Your team learns to understand the client's needs, to stay objective when handling objections and to present solutions to decision-makers. The end result should be a clear decision. This includes offers that show the benefit, as well as consistent follow-up.

Price and negotiation. Many salespeople give way on price too early. Your team learns to stand by its own price, to prepare negotiations with buyers and to make concessions only in return for something.

Developing existing clients. With existing clients, revenue is often easier to grow than with new ones. Your team recognises additional needs earlier, strengthens client loyalty through planned account care and also uses complaint conversations to consolidate the relationship.

Sales leadership. Training only works if managers apply it in daily work. Heads of sales learn to agree targets, to debrief client conversations and to insist on shared standards in the team. Self-management and self-motivation follow, especially after rejections.

Every training combines topics from several areas and works with your own offers and client situations. Three principles apply to all topics: your salespeople take responsibility for their results, every conversation is oriented towards the client, and we agree beforehand how we will measure success.
